Cellist who graduated from the Music Academy of the
West in 1971 and has crafted a nifty little recording career for himself,
both as a session musician with the likes of Michael Feinstein, Barry Manilow, and Donna Summer, and as a member of an
ensemble on The Art of Fuguing, The
Colors of the Baroque and The
Trumpet in Baroque Chamber Settings.
On 9th November 1979, he appeared as part
of the Los Angeles Cello Quartet in concert with the South Bay Chamber
Music Society, Inc. Their
program consisted of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Sarabande from English Suite No. 3”, Franz Joseph
Haydn’s “Adagio Cantabile”, Theodore Holland’s
“Cortege”, Friedrich August Kummer’s
“Duet in G minor for Two Cellos, Op. 22”, Carlo Menotti’s
“Suite for Two Cellos and Piano”, David Popper’s
“Requiem”, Wallingford Riegger’s
“Introduction and Fugue”, and Antonio Vivaldi’s
“Concerto Grosso No. 11 in D minor, Op.
3”.
He also appears with saxophonist Harvey Pittel on Crystal Records S105, playing Loeillet’s “Sonata No. 11, Op. 4”, Paule Maurice’s “Tableaux de
Provence”, Robert Rodriguez’s “Sonata”, and Halsey
Stevens’ “Dittico”.
Robert is often confused with Midnight Rhythm producer
Robby Adcock, who frequently called Robert for session work.
