     Alatorre, Eric

    He is a bass and baritone singer born in Southern California to a family of Mexican origin.  He studied at the California State University Fullerton and San Francisco State University and when he ventured out into his professional career he became a singer with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus.  In 1990 he became a member of the popular ensemble Chanticleer and with them as toured nationally and internationally as well as making many recordings.  These recordings include Christmas with Chanticleer, Jerusalem: Matins for the Virgin of Guadelupe, Lost in the Stars, Our American Journey, Palestrina: Missa Pro Defunctis: Motets, A Portrait and Sing We Christmas, the DVD of Magnificat and many more.   Currently he is still a performing member with Chanticleer and with a service of 18 years with them, he has become the longest serving member in their current line-up.
