She was born Anacani Maria Consuelo Y Castillo Lopez
Cantor Montoya in Sinaloa, Mexico
and moved to the US
as a child.She was discovered
on a trip back to Mexico
by a TV producer which followed with performances on variety shows, TV and
concerts.She was a featured
performer on The Lawrence Welk Show
and she had a bit part in the film Zoot
Suit.She now lives in Escondido,
California, and besides
singing, is a clothing designer and seamstress.She still sings with the Welk
Musical Family and performs solos with many symphony orchestras.She also works the telethon for the WestTexasRehabilitationCenter.
