    Anderson, John (13th December 1954-Present)

He is a country singer-songwriter and musician born John David Anderson in Apopka, Florida and now living in Smithville, Tennessee.  Prior to leaving school he was in the bands The Weeds Seeds and Living End.   He worked in Nashville as a construction worker on the Grand Ole Opry House, in which he was later to appear in 1981.  He had hits with songs including "Your Lyin' Eyes" and "Swingin'".  His hit "Seminole Wind" has become Florida's unofficial state anthem.  He was honoured in 1983 with the Horizon Award and in 1991 with the Career Achievement Award from the Academy of Country Music.
