     Archibald, Norman

    He is a trumpeter and teacher born in England.  He would become a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and appear in several of their recordings including their 1973 Classics for Brass and Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky.  In 1977 and 1980 he performed on the soundtracks of the first two Star Wars films as a member of the London Symphony Orchestra and later soundtracks he can be heard on are the Original Cast recordings of Phantom of the Opera, Evita and Midsummer Night's Dream.   As a teacher his students include the acclaimed trumpet soloist Mark Cox.
