English horn player and oboist from Rotterdam who attended the Utrecht Conservatory and studied under Justine Gerretsen and Ernest Rombout. He has since gone on to perform with the Dutch Oboe Trio, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra.

On 21^st December 2002, the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor rang in the holidays with Roel van Oosten’s “Quatre Noels Anciens”, Arvo Part’s “Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten”, Alexandre Tansman’s oratorio, Isaie, le Prophete, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”.

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Groot Omroepkoor and the Nationaal Kinderkoor honoured the Advent on 13^th December 2008 with their rendition of Mauricio Kagel’s Sankt-Bach-Passion.

On 6^th June 2009, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor offered up Hendrik Andriessen’s “Ricercare”, Louis Andriessen’s “Nocturnen”, and Igor Stravinsky’s Canticum sacrum ad honorem Sancti Marci nominis and “Greeting Prelude”.

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Simon Trpceski joined forces on 17^th September 2010 for Sergei Prokofiev’s “Pianoconcert nr. 3 in C opus 26”, sandwiched between Aram Khatchaturian’s suite from Spartacus and Anatoli Liadov’s “Baba-Jaga” and “Het betoverde meer”.

On 24^th October 2010, the Dutch Oboe Trio, which is rounded out by Frank van Koten and the aforementioned Ernest Rombout, delivered a recital of music composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, Antonin Dvorak, and Gordon Jacob.

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor put together a holiday program on 17^th December 2010 that included Claude Debussy’s La martyre de Saint Sebastien, Francis Poulenc’s Gloria, and Stravinsky’s “Symphonie de psaumes”.

On 7^th January 2011, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Nicholas Angelich tackled Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Pianoconcert nr. 3 in d, opus 30” on an evening that started out with Prokofiev’s “Scythische suite, opus 20” and Nikolaj Roslavets’ “In de uren van de nieuwe maan”.
