He is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer,
recording engineer and author occasionally named "Dodger", born in
Shreveport, Louisiana, to a family where his father was a radio announcer for
the show The Louisiana Hayride and his own jazz and R&B show Groovey
Boy the Boogie Master. He
learned to play the guitar while still young and began by performing with The
Legends and The Reknown in roadhouses. A while later he began songwriting when he was in the
group Baccus and eventually Nashville and other cities beckoned when he was
a member of The Outlaw Brothers, Little Richie Jarvis and Good Home Cooking
and Lusaza who became active in Austin, Texas. While in Texas Lusaza
disbanded and he joined up with Jimmy
Buffett to be the first and original member of the Coral
Reefer Band
where it was just the two of them before the other members filtered
in. He remained with the Coral
Reefer Band
for many years before moving to New York where he had his own
blues band, Hell's Kitchen, been the lead guitarist for David Ippolito,
writes music for TV and film and still performs as a sessions guitarist. His many recordings include his own
Fool For a Blonde which is music for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,
ReunionLive at the Windjammer with the
original
Coral Reefer Band , AiA,
the Rancho Deluxe soundtrack, Havana Daydreamin' and Changes
In Latitudes, Changes in Atitudes
