Benoit, M.L.

He is a percussionist, conga player, songwriter and vocalist who has appeared with several artists on tour and in the recording studio. He has performed with the singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett as part of his Coral Reefer Band and also been in the studio with Kim Carnes and appears on her No. 1 chart hit "Bette Davis Eyes". Albums he has appeared on include Coconut Telegraph on which he co-wrote "Incommunicado", Somewhere Over China and Boats, Beaches, Bars and Ballads by Jimmy Buffett , All Four One by The Motels, Rockin' on 6^th by Josh Leo, The Key by Joan Armatrading, Transcendence by Shawn Phillips, Live at the Blue Dolphin with the Marks-Clifford Band, Make A Little Magic and Jealousy by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Snap! Snap! by The Cretones, Blue Country by Joe Dassin and Voyeur, Mistaken Identity and Gypsy Honeymoon by Kim Carnes. He still plays in the guitarist Buzz Clifford's band and has performed with him since the late 1970s when he was in the Marks-Clifford Band.
