She is a violinist born in Santa Barbara,
California. She began studying
music when her mother taught her the piano when she was four and she
quickly progressed to the violin when she was six. She studied in Los Angeles and then
later in Switzerland. She took
part in many competitions and has been a successful winner of the Jacques
Thibaud International Violin Competition and the National Coleman Chamber
Music Competition. After the launch
of her career she appeared as a soloist with several international symphony
orchestras as well as attaining the position of concertmaster of the Santa
Barbara Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. She went
on to become a member of the Rossetti Quartet, concertmaster of the
Saint
Louis Symphony Orchestra
and artist-in-residence at the city's
Washington University. As a
teacher she has taught at "Strings in the Mountains" in Steamboat Strings, she
has founded the Virtuoso Strings from young Santa Barbara string players
and is a member of the faculty of the Santa Barbara Music and Arts Conservatory.
