She became a member of Les Etoiles and the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 1992, she did a sweep of southeastern Poland with pianist Wieswata Gasowka and bassist Peter Tollenaar. She was the soloist with Ars Musica in a concert of Antonio Vivaldi’s music in 1994. In 1995, she was put on call as a substitute cellist for the Gelders Orchestra.

Other groups with whom she performed include Ensemble ViaCollis, The Gaubert Trio, the Isis String Quartet, The National Youth Orchestra, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ricciotti ensemble, and the Rotterdam Chamber Orchestra.

She acquired a teaching degree in 1996 and then pursued her degree in performance. On 27^th May 1999, she officially fulfilled her performance requirements.

The Gaubert Trio, which is rounded out by pianist Hans-Erik Dijkstra and flautist Desiree Vergers, delivered a program of Carl Czerny, Cecil Chaminade, Philippe Gaubert (natch), Franz Joseph Haydn and Gabriel Pierne on 25^th November 2001.

On 21^st December 2002, the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor rang in the holidays with Roel van Oosten’s “Quatre Noels Anciens”, Arvo Part’s “Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten”, Alexandre Tansman’s oratorio, Isaie, le Prophete, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”.

Mirjam clocked in at a respectable 53:52 in the 10k Hilversum Businessrun on 6^th April 2003.

In 2005, she joined the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. They performed Sergei Prokofiev’s “Egyptische Nachten, suite op. 61”, Camille Saint-Saens’ “Concert voor piano en orkest nr. 5 op. 103 in F”, and Igor Stravinsky’s Petroesjka on 26^th October 2007.

In 2008, Mirjam played cello “Live at Pinkpop ‘08”, the second track of the Moke maxi-single, The Long Way.

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Groot Omroepkoor and the Nationaal Kinderkoor honoured Advent with Mauricio Kagel’s Sankt-Bach-Passion on 13^th December 2008. On 6^th June 2009, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor offered up Hendrik Andriessen’s “Ricercare”, Louis Andriessen’s “Nocturnen”, and Stravinsky’s Canticum sacrum ad honorem Sancti Marci nominis and “Greeting Prelude” at the Holland Festival.

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra supplied the music for the scenic world premiere of Karel Goeyvaerts’ Aquarius on 21^st June 2009.

On 9^th March 2010, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Simon Trpceski interpreted Sergei Rachmaninov’s “Konzert fur Klavier und Orchester Nr. 1 fis-Moll op. 1” in a concert that was capped off by Dmitri Shostakovich’s “Sinfonie Nr. 7 C-Dur op. 60” (“Leningrad”). They teamed up with pianist Denis Matsuev on 17^th April 2010 for a performance of Rachmaninov’s “Tweede pianoconcert in c, opus 18”, which was sandwiched between Victori Borisova-Ollas’s “Wings of the Wind” and Prokofiev’s “Vijfde symfonie in Bes, opus 100”.

On 20^th June 2010, Ars Musicae entertained with a Mozart triple-header of “Divertimento KV136”, “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”, and “Hobo kwartet KV370.

Ensemble ViaCollis opened up the 2010-2011 season with a pair of concerts, at Kerk van Hemmen and Remonstrantse Kapel, that featured music of Arthur Bliss, Gordon Jacob, Mozart, and Franz Schubert.

On 26^th November 2010, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and pianists Arthur and Luca Jussen joined forces for an all-Beethoven affair that shone the spotlight on the master’s “Pianosonate in c opus 10 nr. 1”, “Pianosonate in c opus 13” (“Pathetique”), and “Symfonie nr. 7 in A opus 92”.
