She is a soprano who performed with the Harvard
University Choir and appeared on their holiday recording Christmas in the Busch.
She was also involved with Harvard theatre music productions
during the late 1990s. She was
a member of the chorus for Der Freischutz, and had roles in Don Giovanni and No Bull. Being a member of the crew for
several other productions, she was the house manager for H.M.S. Pinafore and The Gondoliers and the producer for VI: A Night of Six Student Opera
Premiers.
Outside of performing she has a B.A. in History of Art
and Architecture and History from Harvard
University, an M.A. in Social Thought
and Humanities from New York University
and is a studying for her PhD at New York’s
New School
for Social Research. She has
been the recipient of a magnum cum laude Award for Thesis from Harvard
University, the Brecht Dissertation Fellowship, the
Elinor Goldmark Black
Fellowship and was a 2009/10 Leon Milman Memorial
Fellow.
In broadcasting she is an outreach consultant for New
York’s NOW
on PBS.
