Bushnell, Bob

Six-string bass guitarist who has been equally at home playing the blues, folk, jazz, pop, R&B, rock, and soul. When Tom Wilson decided to over-dub Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sounds of Silence ", Bob was one of a triad of musicians enlisted for duty. You can also hear his handiwork on Mickey & Sylvia's "Love is Strange". A one-time member of the Bill Doggett Combo, Bob has recorded with a plethora of musicians, including Eric Andersen, George Benson, John Coltrane, Neil Diamond, Sticks Evans, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Tim Hardin, Janis Ian, Louis Jordan, King Curtis, Barbara Lewis, The Manhattan Transfer , Esther Phillips, Bobby Robinson, Jimmy Smith, Cal Tjader, and Kai Winding.
