Trumpeter from
Montreal, Canada,
who attended Boston
University and
graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in music.
In 1966, he
made his debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, although he didn’t
join the orchestra full-time until 1984. He was dubbed Assistant Principal
Trumpet of the Boston Pops and Second Trumpet of the BSO in 1988. Other groups with whom he has worked
comprise the Boston Ballet, Boston Musica Viva, the
Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, and the Opera Company of Boston. He retired from the BSO in
2008.
In the field
of musical education, he has taught at Boston University,
MIT, and the New England Conservatory.
