Violinist from
South Dakota who attended Boston University, Interlochen
Arts Academy and the New England Conservatory, where he took formal studies
with James Buswell. He graduated in 1995.
On 18th
August 1996, he and pianist Miri Yampolsky delivered the world premiere of Kevin Beavers’
“Sonata for Violin and Piano” at Tanglewood.
He joined the
Fort Wayne Philharmonic as their associate concertmaster, a post he held
for two years. In Miami Beach, Florida,
he was a member of the New World Symphony, for whom he served as
co-concertmaster. From 2001 to
2004, he worked with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C.
In January
2006, he joined the ranks of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This also opened up some other
opportunities, such as recording with the Boston Pops and the Boston
Symphony Chamber Players.
