He is an English tenor and composer who started in music
as a chorister at King's College Cambridge and then as a choral
scholar.He
became a member of the King's
Singers
in 1986 and remained with them until 1997 when he
left to concentrate on full time composition.His compositions have been
internationally performed and include Green
Songs for the New York Children's Chorus, Organ Dances, which is an organ concerto, was premiered in Pennsylvania,
and carols written for the Syracuse Children's Choir with the
Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.He
was the composer in residence for the "Children in Harmony Choral
Festival" at Disneyland, Orlando.
One commission was a 30-minute space adventure called News From Space which involved a concert over 2 nights at the
Royal Albert Hall, each with a choir of 1400 children from 98 schools.
