He is a bass trombonist and teacher who studied at the
Peabody Conservatory, Northwestern University and Pennsylvania State
University. Taking part in
several competitions he won the 1998 bass trombone National Solo Competition
which took part in the Eastern Trombone Workshop. Appearing with many orchestras and ensembles he has been
heard performing with the Baltimore Opera, the Maryland Symphony
Orchestra, the Harrisburg Symphony, Tim
Zimmerman & The
King's Brass
, the Richmond
Symphony, the National Symphony, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra and was the
Acting Bass Trombonist in the 2000-1 season for the Kennedy Center Opera
House. He has been heard on
radio and television broadcasts on several occasions and his recordings
include Ancient Airs for Brass and Organ and Dances With Brass,
which he also did the cover art for, with the Washington Symphonic
Brass. As a teacher he has
been a member of the faculty of several education institutions, which
include the Peabody Preparatory, Morgan State University, Towson University
and various community colleges in Baltimore, Maryland.
