Cellist with the Springfield Symphony in
Massachusetts who has fashioned quite a career for himself as both a
soloist and member of The Nashville String Machine and The
Sheldon Kurland Strings
, two ensembles
that have done extensive session work for some of the top names in the
industry. He has
appeared on almost a hundred albums and worked with the likes of
Eddy Arnold, Kathy
Barnes, Garth Brooks, Lefty Frizzell, Larry Gatlin & The
Gatlin Brothers Band, Tom T.
Hall , Waylon Jennings, Jerry Lee
Lewis, Bill Monroe, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Statler Brothers, and George
Strait
. He is equally at home playing classical music and has
appeared on the albums Clarinet Works,
Hindemith: String Trios, Karl
Holler: Organ Music, and Music for Bassoon and Cello. On 13th November 2001, he thrilled
audiences with his rendition of Benjamin
Britten's
Sonata in C for Cello and Piano, Op. 65,
alongside pianist Kevin Rhodes.
He has also overseen projects as producer and recording engineer on
Barbara Harbach's The American
Organist, and fellow cellist Max Raimi's 2003 release, Raimi Plays Raimi .
