     Davis, Miles B.

    He is a double bassist who took his musical studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in the Class of 1974, where he has since lectured and held the position of Secretary of the Curtis Alumni Council.

     

    He has performed and recorded with Orchestra 2001 and as a long term member and Principal Bass of the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia.  He has also performed as Principal Double Bass in the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra.

     

    Recordings he has appeared on include Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 by Orchestra 2001 and Gloria! Gloria! by Benita Valente, The Philadelphia Singers & The Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia.
