He is a horn player, author and teacher born in Richmond,
Kentucky, who took his studies in music
at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Juilliard
School.
In 1985 he was the winner of the American Horn
Competition and in 1987 he became a member of the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra where he has most recently been Third Horn and toured Norway
as a member of the Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet. He was also the Principal Horn with
the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and performed on
their 1987 holiday recording Gloria!

Singers.
Other orchestras and ensembles he has performed with
include the Atlanta Chamber Players, the Cincinnati Symphony, Lexington
(Kentucky) Philharmonic, the New
York Philharmonic and Soloisti New
York.
More recently he has been on the performer and teacher listing at
the 2010 Vianden International Music Festival in Luxembourg.
In the field of musical education he is on the Brass Faculty
of Emory University, works at the Brevard
Music Center
over the summer months and is the author of The Efficient Approach: Accelerated
Development for the Horn and a series of 5 instructional videos on eHOw.
