He is a songwriter, photographer and musician who
plays every kind of guitar: rhythm, slide, pedal steel etc.Working in the music industry since
the 1960s he became a member of the inventive New York Rock & Roll Ensemble
in 1970, which had been put together in the late 1960s by people who had
attended the Juilliard School of Music including Michael Kamen and Dorian
Rudnytsky.They were known for
using classical instruments for rock music and vice versa and released
several albums.Later he was
an original member of Emmylou Harris's Hot Band and, later still, an
original member of the offshoot band, The Cherry Bombs.Their line up included Vince Gill and Emory
Gordy Jr.
and they toured with Rodney Crowell and Roseanne Cash.They would later reform in 2003 and
record an album as the Notorious Cherry Bombs.He was also a much sought after
session musician and over the years he has worked with a diverse
range of artists including Hoyt
Axton , Arlo Guthrie, Tim
Krekel, Nicolette
Larson, Ralph McTell, Buck Owens, Ricky Skaggs and George
Strait
.The countless album credits to his name include Somewhere
