Clarinetist from Brunssum, Holland, who attended the Maastricht Conservatory and went on to become a bass clarinetist with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Other groups with whom he has worked include the Clarinet Choir Schinveld, the Denner Consort, Ensemble Ad Libitum, the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, the North Dutch Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Simons Ensemble, the Sinfonietta Amsterdam, the Viotta Ensemble Amsterdam, the World Orchestra for Peace.

In 2001, he was the featured soloist in a program entitled “Van Mozart tot Malando” which was presented by the Clarinet Choir Schinveld.

The Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor rang in the holidays on 21^st December 2002 with Roel van Oosten’s “Quatre Noels Anciens”, Arvo Part’s “Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten”, Alexandre Tansman’s oratorio, Isaie, le Prophete, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”.

In 2007, Noel appeared on the Elmer Schonberger album, Theatermusik, along with fellow clarinetist David Kweksilber, pianist Gerard Bouwhuis, and the Mondriaan Kwartet. They can all be heard on the first track, "Suite verhuisbericht".

The Clarinet Choir Schinveld reconvened on 27^th October 2008 for a sinfonia by Johann Christian Bach and highlights from The Gadfly by Dmitri Shostakovich, as well as a couple of Noel’s signature pieces, the adagio from Mozart’s clarinet concerto and “Czardas” by Vittorio Monti.

On 13^th December 2008, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Groot Omroepkoor and the Nationaal Kinderchoor celebrated Advent with a rousing rendition of Mauricio Kagel’s Sankt-Bach-Passion.

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor reunited on 17^th October 2009 for Claude Debussy’s “Prelude a l’apres-midi d’un faune”, Maurice Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloe, and Klaas de Vries’ “Wake”.

On 15^th November 2009, Noel reprised the Mozart adagio and the Clarinet Choir Schinveld interpreted Antonin Dvorak’s “Mis in D dur” and a couple of bits from Mozart’s “Jupiter” symphony.

The Denner Consort gathered together on 17^th January 2010 for a pair of recitals, one in Annen and another at Woudbloem, Theaterboerderij Erf & Weide, highlighting music of Anna Magdalena Bach, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

On 16^th May 2010, the Simons Ensemble, directed by Marijn Simons, performed an eclectic array of pieces by composers ranging from their namesake to Paul Hindemith to John McCabe to Frank Zappa.

Noel teamed up with Anne Purnot, Jos Roeden and Frans Scheepers for some St. Cecilia music courtesy of J.S. Bach, Paul Harris, Gordon Jacob, Mozart and Franz Schubert at Sint Christinakerk in Eijsden on 3^rd October 2010.

On 7^th November 2010, he was the clarinet soloist at the Schinvelderhoeve in a Clarinet Choir Schinveld concert that comprised highlights from Isaac Albeniz’s “Espana”, Dvorak’s “Serenade, opus 22”, Monti’s “Czardas” and Mozart’s adagio. Mezzo-soprano Annemie Vallino-Ravetta also sang “O del mio dolce ardor” by Christoph Willibald von Gluck and “Mon Coeur s’ouvre a ta voix” by Camille Saint-Saens.

Noel participated in the Tbilisi Wind Festival in the autumn of 2010. The festival ran from 26^th November through 2^nd December and its aim was to increase awareness of the Georgian music school and shine the spotlight on a wide variety of music for winds.
