He is a multi-instrumentalist born in Southern California
who has made his living playing mandolin. Banjo and various types of
guitars.After having become
interested in music in the 1960s he bought his first pedal steel guitar
from Sneaky Pete Kleinow of the Flying Burrito Brothers.He
became a member of the John Stewart's band and in 1974 managed to
get through an audition for the backing band for Linda
Ronstadt
, which would be his springboard to a
successful career.In 1980 he was a founding member
of the band Ronin who released a self-titled album and at the same
time became a member of James
Taylor's
band.His busy musical career has now
seen him playing for both James
Taylor and Linda
Ronstadt
for more than a decade
and has also included much work as a studio musician.Over the course of his career he
has been heard performing with acts that include Alabama,
