Multi-instrumentalist
from Brooklyn, New York who attended UCLA and the University of Arizona before
joining the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra in 1987. She has also done stints with the
Los Angeles Opera and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Being in L.A. opened doors for her
not all woodwind musicians get to tread through. Joan has performed on a number of
film soundtracks, including Behind
Enemy Lines, Die Hard, Home Alone, Jurassic Park, Lethal
Weapon, The Matrix, Matrix Revolutions, and Peter Rabbit and the Crucifix. She's also done her share of toon work: Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Pinky and the Brain, and Tiny Toons. Artists with whom she has worked
include Celine Dion, Elton
John, Diana
Ross, Frank
Sinatra, Barbra Streisand,
Luther Vandross, and Vanessa
Williams. On 5th May
1993, she appeared as one of the band members on Rod Stewart's MTV Unplugged special. You can celebrate Christmas with her
