    Elliott, Stuart (5th May 1953-Present)

He is a drummer and singer-songwriter born in London.  His father was a drummer and from the age of three he took interest when he practiced at home.  He started out as a member of Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel and stayed with them through much of the 1970s playing on all their albums, two of which charted into the Top 10.  From 1976 he also became a session drummer and worked with Kate Bush and The Alan Parsons Project, which was such a successful collaboration that he has appeared on all of their albums from that time.  He has also appeared on many albums by other artists including Give My Regards to Broad Street by Paul McCartney , Night Flight by Justin Hayward, and Year of the Cat and Time Passages by Al Stewart.  He was a member of the band Keats for one album in 1984 and worked and appeared on TV with Eric Clapton and Tina Turner.  Aside from his session and studio work he has also appeared live with many artists including Alice Cooper, Paul Young, Simple Minds and Sting.  He started songwriting in the 1990s when he had remained with Alan Parsons after the band had split up.  He co-wrote "Take the Money and Run" with Andrew Powell and continued by contributing songs and drumming as a member of The Alan Parsons Live Project until they disbanded. He still performs live and does session work.
