He is a drummer who was born in Rochester, New York.He began as a member of the Syracuse
based Jam Factory, who would to Macon, Georgia, and become the Tall Dogs
Orchestra.He was
auditioned by Paul
McCartney
, in a basement in New York, after answering an advertisement
for a drummer.Becoming part of the group Wings
, he first worked on the Venus and Mars album.By the time they recorded Wings
at the Speed of Sound he was singing lead vocals on "Must Do Something
About It".He started to
become disenchanted through the London Town Sessions and returned to
Macon to join Sea Level.He went through Christian Salvation
in the late 1970s and formed the Joe English Band that would go on
international tours with other Christian bands and make several recordings.In 1986 he performed in the band
Pieces of Eight and then in the late 1980s he became a member of the
Compassion All Star Band. He
appeared in movies as himself in Rockshow and as a book publisher in
the 2005 Runt. Suffering from chronic problems in his ankles he has
been unable to play drums since the late 1990s.
