    Ernst, Lucas

    Bass-baritone who graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in 1977 with a degree in voice. 

     

    In the 1980s, he was very busy on the Philadelphia opera stage, performing in a variety of roles, including Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Golaud in Pelleas et Melisande, Stuart Offenbach in R.S.V.P., La Roche in Capriccio, and Ser Amantio di Nicolao in Gianni Schicchi. 

     

    On 13th November 1987, he was a featured soloist with the Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra in a performance of Aaron Copland’s “Old American Songs” at Broughal Auditorium in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. 

     

    He also appeared on The Philadelphia Singers’ Christmas album, Gloria!  Gloria!.
