He is an English bass/baritone who started his life in
music by performing as a chorister at Hereford Cathedral. He studied singing but started his
working life in a number of industries before eventually making his
decision to take up music professionally. He became a mature student at the Royal College of Music
and debuted with The London Oratory at the Royal Festival Hall in
1987. He became a member
of the Westminster Cathedral Choir and during his decade with them
performed on a recording, which won them the 1999 Gramophone Record of the
Year. As the new millennium
came in he relocated to Salisbury and started working as a freelance

member. They include The Cardinall's Musick, The Gabrieli Consort,
The
King's Consort, Musica Antiqua, Oxford
Camerata
and The Sixteen and he has also performed at the Winchester and County
Music Festival and a production of J.S. Bach's St. John Passion at
Salisbury Cathedral among others.

Santiago by The New London Consort, Hildegard
