He is a pianist and teacher born
in England. He has appeared as a concert pianist
with every major British orchestra as well as touring internationally. Some of the conductors he has
worked with include Sir
Simon Rattle, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Neeme
Jarvi
among
many others. He has made many
recordings specializing in British music and has also released a CD of
concertos that were composed for film.
His concert repertoire includes performances of the works of
Gershwin, Grieg, Schumann and Tchaikovsky. He is also a Director of Keyboard
Studies and Senior Fellow of the Keyboard at Trinity College of Music in
London, and a contributor and performer on discussion programmes for BBC
Radio 3.
