    Friedlander, Fowler

Bassoonist of the boxed sets, we'll call him:  He appears on Frank Sinatra's 1979 Trilogy and Doris Day's Que Sera, Sera, released on CD in 1996.  He started out as more of a classical musician, however, appearing in concert with John Cage at the Hunter College Playhouse in New York, New York, on 12th May 1946.  The program consisted of typically quirky Cage compositions such as "Root of an Unfocus" and "Tossed as it is Untroubled", as well as works of Erik Satie and Alan Hovhaness.
