    Fries, Susan S.

Author and woodwind musician who appears on Frank Sinatra's 1979 boxed set, Trilogy.  She has also performed on a number of movie soundtracks, including The Black Stallion, The Butcher's Wife, Crazy People, Frankie and Johnny, The Godfather III, The Hunt for Red October, Naked Gun:  The Final Insult, and Vampire in Brooklyn.  In 2007, AuthorHouse published My Teacher:  Remembering Marcel Moyse, her vignette-studded compendium of heart-warming and funny recollections of the French flautist.  Susan has gone on to become a teacher herself, having been on the faculties of Oberlin Conservatory and Toledo University, and is a member of the adjunct faculty at Concordia University.  She has performed with the American Ballet Theatre, the Detroit Symphony , the Philadelphia Lyric Opera, and the New York City Opera.  Naturally, she makes her home in Orange County, California.
