He is a counter-tenor and teacher who studied music at
Sonoma State University, graduating in 1989. In 1992
he became a member of the ensemble Chanticleer
and over the eleven years he was with them he toured regularly on a
national and international level, making more than 1,000 appearances, as a
soloist and group member, and made many recordings. Orchestras and ensembles that he
has appeared with during the course of his career include the Atlanta
Symphony, Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra, the New
York Philharmonic
, St. Paul
Chamber Orchestra and the UC Davis Baroque Ensemble. Appearing on at least a dozen recordings with Chanticleer
he features on the Grammy Award winning Colors of Love and Lamentations
& Praises as well as Cristobal de Morales: Missa Mille Regrettz
& Motets, How Sweet the Sound, Lost in the Stars, Our American Journey
and Sing We Christmas to name just a few. In the field of musical education he is on the faculty
of Sonoma State University, California, as a voice lecturer and an
Education Co-Ordinator for Sonoma County Choral Society. He also gives private tuition and
takes part in masterclasses.
