Vocalist who
did some session work in the ‘70s as well as releasing
children’s albums such as 1973’s Sunshine and Snowflakes with Clark Gassman
and a 40-children choir. In
1978, they released the equally sunny Share
a Little Sunshine. Their rendition of “Joy to
the World
” appears on the 2007
compilation, Noel a Go Go. In
1971, she sang background vocals on Cass Elliott’s self-titled turn
on RCA Records. The late
‘70s are dotted with albums on which Jan appeared, including Here You Come Again by Dolly
Parton ,
Triumvirat’s A la Carte, and Frank
Sinatra’s boxed set, Trilogy. In 2005, The Edge by David Axelrod was released on CD. Clark Gassman
passed away on 22nd May 2006. He had cancer. Jan Gassman
runs a Bible study in conjunction with the Evangelical Free Church of the
Canyons in Santa Clarita, California.
