multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter who has been a member of the Kansas City Blues Band and
Turning Point, which became Kenny Rogers’ backing band. Instruments in his arsenal include
flute, guitar, keyboards, mandolin and saxophone.
Steve co-wrote several songs together, including “As Good is My
Witness” (with Warren Hartman), “Love or Something Like It”
and “Starting Again”.
Kenny, Steve and Warren also co-wrote a musical with Kelly Junkerman entitled The
Toy Shoppe. “Love or
Something Like It” was a #1 hit for Kenny on the country chart in
1978: It also reached #12 on
the Adult Contemporary chart and #32 on the Billboard Hot 100.

where they performed (and juggled!) “Home Grown Tomatoes” and a
