He is a singer/songwriter and
keyboard player born in Birmingham, England.He and his brother Kelvin became
members of the band Musical Youth in 1979, while at DuddestonSchool.They shot to fame with the song
"Pass the Dutchie" and released several chart singles.The band initially split up in 1985
after Dennis Seaton left and he went on to work with the band 5AM which was
part of Pete Waterman's PWL Records. He then formed 5AM Records which deals
with production of gospel music as well as remixing tracks for artists that
have included Usher, Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes.He and Dennis Seaton reformed
Musical Youth in 2001, and in 2003 they did a nostalgia tour.In 2005 they performed as a duo,
under the name of Musical Youth, in Austria.
