She is a
cellist and teacher born into a musical family where her father is the
violist and conductor Sol Greitzer, her mother is
the pianist Shirley Greitzer and her sisters are
the bassoonist Deborah Greitzer-Silberschlag and the
flutist Judy Schwartz. She is
also the wife of the clarinettist Jon Manasse.
In 1986 The Greitzer Ensemble, which is a family group, performed a
concert at Merkin Concert Hall in New York which included the premiere of Paul Chihara’s “Scene de Ballet”.
In 1991 she
gave the premiere performance of “Amid Fleeting Pockets of Billowing
Radiance” by Jeffrey Mumford in St. Mary’s
College in Maryland and in 1995 she performed on the recording The Italian Voyage
by the Maryland Bach Aria Group.
In 2009 at the
Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival and in 2012 she and her husband both

performed as a member of the New York Pops and the Stamford Symphony
In the studio
she has performed on recordings that include On the Edge of Porpoise Bay
by Paul Miller and the soundtracks of The Good Shepherd and Perfect
In the field
of musical education she has been a member of the faculty of the School of Strings.
