She is a flautist, piccolo and recorder player who has
made her name as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician who studied
with Marcel Moyse and performed with his ensemble at the Marlboro Music
Festival. She was also a
winner in the Concert Artists Guild Competition in 1976.
She debuted in New York performing at the Carnegie
Recital Hall and has since appeared at numerous venues such as the Library
of Congress and Lincoln Center.
She has given solo performances at several festivals such as the Caracas
Chamber Music Festival, the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and
the Prague International Chamber Music Festival.
Appearing on the radio and television, she has been a
soloist several times on WRTI in Philadelphia and on The Today Show
on NBC. She has also made
several recordings that include Music of Gerald Levinson, Distant
Runes: Music Of Our Time, Vol. 1. and Music of Our Time for Mixed
Ensemble, Vol. 2 by
Orchestra 2001 and Gloria! Gloria! by Benita Valente, The
Philadelphia Singers and the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of
Philadelphia as well as Harold Boatrite: Sonatas and Suites.
She is the Principal Flute of the Chamber Orchestra of
Philadelphia having toured with them in Europe and appeared at numerous
concerts in America. Other
ensembles she has performed with are the Craftsbury Chamber Players and
Orchestra 2001.
