She was a classical pianist born in Paris,
France. She began to learn the piano when
she was five years old and after having performed recitals she enrolled in
the Paris Conservatory when she was nine. Her successful career was a concert soloist
she became ill during WWII and did not resume performing regularly until
the 1960s and did not debut in New
York
until 1971. She is known to have successfully adapted
Baroque pieces from harpsichord to piano.
