She is a singer-songwriter born in California who
started out in her career at the age of sixteen as the host of a local TV
show. This led to her becoming
a fashion model in magazines for teenagers and this quickly led to her taking
up acting as well as performing as a dancer and singer with The Doodletown
Pipers. She left this kind of
work for a while when she represented the baseball team, the Califonia
Angels where she would be Miss California Angel at various charity
functions and also a spokesperson in on-air TV commercials for the team.
Going back to what she loved she sang in several local Californian bands,
appeared on music videos such as "Change" by John Waite, appeared on the
show Star Search, performed "ghost vocals" and made TV appearances
as an actress and singer. At
the same time she would also design ornamental glass and give classes in
aerobic dance. After having
worked as a session musician with artists such as Tori Amos, Bill Medley
and Martika she joined up with Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band in
1995. She has been with them
ever since in concert and the recording studio and has also been the
executive producer for Peter Mayer, also from the Coral Reefers, on the
video of his "Shall We Dance", and a singer with Robert Greenidge and Mike
Utley's band Club Trini.. Wearing
her songwriter's hat she composed "Mango Tango" recorded by Dennis
McCaughey. Albums she has
appeared on during the course of her career have include Banana Wind,
Beach House on the Moon, Meet Me in Margaritaville, Far Side of the World and
Take the Weather With You by Jimmy Buffett, Forever Tams by
The Tams, Winter, Tales of a Librarian and Little Earthquakes
by Tori Amos and Word of Mouth by Mac McAnally.
