    Hallman, Rhonni

Multi-instrumentalist and teacher who has managed and performed with the Pasadena Symphony as well as doing consulting work with the L.A. Philharmonic Education Department.

In fact, much of her adult life has been devoted to music education.  She has taught at Poughkeepsie Day School, Sequoyah School, Walden School, and the Waverly School in Pasadena, California.

She also offers private lessons in guitar, piano, recorder, and violin.  She has won the Los Angeles Opera Curriculum Contest twice and the MENC/NAMN Guitar Teaching Seminar Contest once, and has been a member of the Pasadena Arts Council and American String Teachers Association.

Her own education was in the hallowed halls of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where she studied Violin Performance.

She went on to join the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, where she stayed for sixteen years, and also performed with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra.  Recently, she has occupied the First Violinist chair with the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra.

She’s also done her fair share of session work, recording with Emile & Emilio, Barry Manilow, Graham Nash, Thom Pace, Isabel Pantoja, John Schlenck, and Frank Sinatra.  You can also celebrate the holidays with her on Hollywood Christmas.

In her copious free time, she supports the Pasadena Audubon Society.
