He is a virtuoso trumpeter and teacher born in Malmo,
Sweden.He started his musical studies in Malmo
when he was eight and attended the Paris Conservatoire, where he was taught
by Pierre Thibaud, and then Los
Angeles where his teacher was Thomas Stevens.His career has led him to be
described as the "greatest trumpeter on earth" by the Times newspaper
and he is a champion of new works for trumpet. Performing with major international
orchestras he as appeared with the Lois Angeles, Vienna,
Royal Stockholm and London Philharmonics, and the London
and NHK Symphony Orchestras, and the Philharmonia among many others, as
well as making guest appearances at music festivals and the BBC Proms.As a teacher he is a professor at
the Malmo Conservatoire and a Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music
in Manchester, England.
