Violinist from
London, England, who began performing at eight years of age and studied
under the watchful eyes of Felix Andrievsky and Grigori Zhislin.
She attended
the Royal College of Music and upon graduation joined the Philharmonia Orchestra. In the 1990s, she appeared on their
recordings of The Big Country and
Lawrence of Arabia.
The Philharmonia appeared at the Grand Auditorium on 30th
November 2009 in a concert of Zoltan Kodaly’s
“Danses de Galanta”,
Modest Mussorgsky’s Tableaux d’une exposition and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Concerto pour piano
et orchestre No. 1 en si
bemol mineur, Op. 23”,
with Simon Trpceski at the keys.
On 25th
March 2010, they joined forces with Joshua Bell in a Beethoven double bill
that included the master’s “Konzert
fur Violine und Orchester
D-Dur, Op. 61” and “Symphonie No. 3 Es-Dur, Op.
55” (“Eroica”).
