He is a trombonist, composer,
arranger and teacher who has performed with groups
including the Ludwig Guttler Brass Ensemble. His compositions include works such
as Concerto for Trombone and
Orchestra and his arrangements have been performed by artists such as
the Berlin Philharmonic. He has
taught at the Dresden Hochschule fur Musik and
has written journal articles such as Forty
Five Years of Playing Bass and Contrabass Trombone (1956-2001): "Staatskapelle
Dresden".
