    Huber, Rudolf (1953-Present)

    He is a flautist born in Telfs, Austria who started to learn the flute under the tutelage of his father when he was 10 years old.

     

    He attended the Innsbruck Conservatory until his graduation in 1970. 

     

    He initially played the flute with the Innsbruck Symphony Orchestra but by 1971 was offered a position in the Vienna Symphony Orchestra where he has remained.

     

    Aside from the VSO he is also a member of the Flutist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra ensemble and the Johann Strauss Ensemble.

     

    Recordings he has appeared on include his own The Elephant and The Fly which he performed with the bassoonist Wolfgang Kuttner.
