Violinist with
the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio
Philharmonic Orchestra, a group that puts together some ambitious programs,
often with Groot Omroepkoor,
including Antonin Dvorak’s Svata Ludmila
oratorio, the scenic world premiere of Karel Goeyvaert’s Aquarius
opera, Franz Liszt’s Faust
symphony, Sergei Prokofiev’s De
vuurengel, Op. 37, and Dmitri Shostakovich’s
“Leningrad” symphony.
Offstage, he and Henk Smit
won the Philharmonic’s 2002 ping pong tournament in the doubles
category! Alberto is also a
professor and one of his pupils was his nephew, Filipe Johnson, now a
violinist in his own right.
