He is a singer, drummer and percussionist who has been
in the music business for nearly four decades.He first appeared on an album as a singer with the group
Odyssey in 1972 that recorded their self-titled album on the Motown label.The following year he joined up
with Steely Dan for their album Countdown to Ecstacy and then in
1978 he became a member of the group Ambrosia.With them he could be heard on hits such as “Biggest
Part of Me” and the albums Life Beyond L.A.,One-Eighty and Road
Island.The group
disbanded temporarily in 1985 and he worked as a session musician for the
lead singer, David Pack, on his album Anywhere You Go.Two years later Van Morrison called
upon him, and he took up the position of drummer and percussionist on his Poetic
Champions Compose. His
work has since been heard on several other albums by Steely Dan and
Ambrosia and also as backing vocalist on Stephan Cohn’s self titled 2006
album release.
