He is a flute and travers
flute player who studied these instruments at Cologne
and Munster and musicology at
the University of Cologne. He is currently a member of the Camerata
Koln and the solo flautist of the Baroque Orchestra, Freiburg
and La Stagione Frankfurt. He
has also played with Musica Antiqua Koln, Musica Alta Ripa and the Reicha Quintett. He is a Professor at the Frankfurt Hochschule fur Musik in travers flute and early music
performance. He also lectures at
the Musikhochschule in Freiburg.
