He is a violinist and teacher born in Nara, Japan, who
studied in the United States at the Juilliard School of Music and remained
in America for 15 years, partly as his teacher, Joseph Fuchs’,
assistant. In the late 1980s
he became a member of the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra and in 1993 he founded
La Strada, which is a now recognised string ensemble, which has appeared at
several venues in Japan over the last decade and a half. In 1995 he returned to Japan after
the earthquake at Hanshin and the following year he was a performer at
several concerts in the Kobe area to raise money for the victims. He has now become a national and
international violinist who has appeared in concerts of chamber music, on
radio and television broadcasts and as a solo recitalist in North and South
America as well as his native Japan.
Orchestras he has appeared with include the Orquesta del Valle based
in Columbia, Osaka Century Orchestra and the Osaka Philharmonic. He now lives in Kobe, Japan and is
still a regular performer.
