He is a guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer born
in Mobile, Alabama, who sang in a soul band when he was thirteen and
followed it by forming a punk trio when he was fifteen.In 1984 he led the band Will and
The Bushmen who he performed with at many clubs and on recordings and also made
a fleeting appearance on MTV.In 1992 he moved to Nashville and was a member of the band The Bis-quits
with Tommy Womack who recorded a single that was well received and then in
1994 he went on tour with Rodney Crowell as his opener. He has worked with many country
music artists such as Kate Campbell, Guy Clark, Steve Forbert, Lyle Lovett,
John Prine, Josh Rouse, Billy Joe Shaver and Todd Snider and Jimmy Buffett
recorded his song "Piece of Work" for an album release.As a producer he was nominated for
a Grammy Award for his work with Adrienne Young and he gained recognition
for his co-production of East Nashville Skyline by Todd Snider.Working as a solo artist he has
released several albums and in 2005 he got together another new band called
Daddy, once again with Tommy Womack.In the course of his career he has featured on many albums that
include his own This, Godsend, Home Away, EP and Americanitis
and also The Bis-quits, Daddy at the Women's Club by Daddy, Gawk
and Blunderbuss by Will and The Bushmen, There I Said It by Tommy
Womack, Freedoms Child by Billy Joe Shaver, Plow to the End of
