ABBA

In 1967 he worked with the Swedish group Tages to record their album Studio and around 1970 was working with the power trio November. In 1972 he worked with Bjorn Skifs on his album Blabus. In 1974 he performed as a clarinettist for the Glam singer Harpo on his Leo The Leopard.

Around that same time he became acquainted with ABBA and performed on their singer Anna-Frid Lyngstad’s Frida ensam in 1975. In 1976 he performed flute and saxophone on Let’s Boogie by the Swedish artists Michael B. Tretow.

In 1980 and 1982 he appeared on their albums Arrival, Voulez-Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors respectively, becoming internationally recognised when he provided the flute accompaniment on their hit single “Fernando”.

He continued to work as a session/studio musician after the break up of ABBA and can be heard on albums which include Scener by Per Gessle, Cake or Death by Lee Hazlewood, Sweethearts by Ulf Lundell, X-Ray Vision by Scafell Pike and Em Ljus Framtid by The Samuelsons and Rhapsody in Rock by Robert Wells.

In the late 1990s he began working as a producer and has since produced Seven Pieces by Lennart Abarg, Three Cushions by Stefan Isaakson, Longing by Jan Johansson, Horncraft by Hakan Nyquist, Mikael Raberg: Suite Extended by Mikael Raberg and the compilation Composer’s Big Fun.
