     Konte, Skip (1944-Present)

He is a keyboardist, songwriter, composer, writer, producer and director who was born Frank Konte in Oklahoma.

His professional career from his twenties saw him as a member of Blue Chip Stock from Anchorage, Alaska, from 1966 to 1968.  This was followed by the Florida group The Blues Image who were based in New York and then Los Angeles from 1968 to 1971 when they disbanded.  His songwriting was responsible for their hit record “Ride, Captain, Ride”.

A couple of years later in 1973 he was called on to become the second keyboard player for the successful group Three Dog Night where he was dubbed “The Wizard”.  He remained with them for around three years appearing on several hit records and albums and after leaving he ventured out in a career as a record producer, producing several Christian music albums among others.
